Southeast Phillips Creek

The SE Phillips Creek project is a 14-unit new construction subdivision of Community Land Trust homeownership units for people of low income. The 1.25 acre site includes eleven three bedroom units and three two bedroom units. The homes are in duplex style. The three bedroom units are 1,077 square feet with 1.5 baths. The two bedroom units are 780 square feet with 1 bath. Green features of the development include:

• 93% efficient water heater
• High efficiency (80%) gas furnace
• The rainwater is managed on site through the use of a narrow road, a bio-swale, French drains and grass pavers
• Earth Advantage-certified homes exceed Oregon Energy Code by 15%

These homes were awarded the Home Depot Foundation’s 2006 Excellence in Affordable Housing award.  This green-building award is a national competition.
